FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ATLANTA ARCHITECTURE

We understand that starting a new building project can seem overwhelming. These are the most common questions we get from new clients and are a great place to start if you’re thinking about hiring an architect to design your space.

Hire us! I typically start with a free 30-minute phone call or video conference. In this session, please feel free to ask me anything. This is a good time to find out if we are a good fit for each other and the project will be a good fit for us.

Architects use various pricing structures based on their business model, the client, and the project type. If the scope of work is well defined, this could be a fixed fee. If we explore multiple options, we could work on an hourly rate until we settle on the design. After the free phone call or video conference, we will find the pricing structure that works for you.

Architects are great at creative problem-solving. We will synthesize the owner’s program, dreams, wishes, the zoning ordinances, building codes, and turn all of those into a work of art that everyone will be proud of.

Architectural licensure is controlled on a state-by-state basis in the united states. David is currently licensed in georgia, louisiana, montana, and washington, dc. If you have a project outside of those 4 states, I can gain a reciprocal license anywhere in the us. Let’s discuss, and come up with a solution for your project.

Architects come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some architects are solo practitioners; some have a few staff members; some have 12 offices worldwide. Some of these firms are more skilled in specific project types than others. At robertson architects, we believe that our value is bringing a process to our clients. We want you to be happy with the process, as well as a result.
At the moment, we are interested in pursuing restaurants, hotels, and custom residential. If you feel we might be a good fit for another project type, please give us a call. We will be happy to discuss your project with you.

This will depend on where you are in the project, the project type, and where it is located. We strive to complete the project inside of your timeframe while still maintaining a high level of quality. There’s always a direct correlation between fast, cheap, and good. There’s the old adage that says good + fast won’t be cheap, fast + cheap won’t be good, and cheap + good won’t be fast.
